Clínica Nido was born from the enthusiasm of a veterinary team to be able to care for and offer a quality and specialized service for the most exotic pets. We are dedicated, by vocation and love, to covering all the needs of rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, parrots, pigeons, canaries, iguanas, snakes, chameleons as well as all those new pets that may enter your home. We also love dogs and cats, but we want your companions to feel safe and calm in our facilities. Our goal is to minimize your stress during your stay with us as well as being able to dedicate ourselves to meeting all your needs.

Elisabet Giraldos Gil

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2004 (UAB) and associate professor of the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of UCH-CEU

She has specialized for more than 10 years in medicine and surgery of exotic animals. She worked in centers dedicated to the clinic of new pets in Barcelona (Exòtics and Vetex Veterinary Clinic) and Valencia. She has completed national as well as international internships (Anton Vets Hospital, Andover (UK), Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic, Indianapolis (USA), École Nationale Vétérinaire d’Alfort (France)

Member of the Exotic Animal Surgery and Medicine Group (GMCAE) of AVEPA (Association of Spanish Veterinarians Specialists in Small Animals) and the AEMV (Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarian)

VETERINARY

Adrián Martínez

Double graduate in Veterinary and Marine Sciences from the UCV in 2020. During his degree he intensified his training in exotic animal medicine, collaborating at the UCV Hospital and collaborating on projects related to exotic and wild fauna.

He carried out internships and stays at Bioparc, Oceanogràfic, Malta National Aquarium. He worked for 2 years at AniCura Constitución Hospital as head of the Hospitalization and Intensive Care service and member of the Exotic Animals service.

He completed the Higher Postgraduate Course in Soft Tissue Surgery in 2021.

VETERINARY

Nelo Civera Vico

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Cardenal Herrera-CEU University, in 2005, he has worked since 2006 as a Veterinarian specializing in Medicine and Surgery of Exotic Animals in different private clinics and various wildlife recovery centers, zoos and private collections of exotic animals.

Since May 2012, he is RCVS Visitor Surgeon of exotic species in zoos and private collections in Europe.

Since 2007 he has been interested and specialized in Reptile Medicine and Surgery, Traumatology of birds of prey and Soft tissue surgery of ferrets, rabbits and rodents.

Since 2008 he has acquired extensive experience in the management and clinical management of big cats, marsupials and non-human primates, working in various zoological centers and national private collections.

Since 2006, he has been a speaker at courses and talks organized by SOHEVA (Valencian Herpetological Society) for veterinary students and veterinarians on Reptile Medicine and Surgery.

VETERINARY

Javier García

Graduated from the UCH CEU University of Valencia. During his time as a student he founded and chaired the exotic and wildlife medicine student club at his university and carried out practical stays in reference centers in exotic animal medicine such as the Menescalia veterinary center and Exòtics veterinary (Barcelona). He is currently studying a master’s degree in medicine and surgery in exotic animals.

Miguel Argudo Olmo

He completed the Higher Degree in Forestry and Natural Environment Management in 2017, with internships at the Saler Fauna Recovery Center, Valencia. She has three years of experience as a zookeeper at Bioparc (Valencia) in the areas of large herbivores/large and medium carnivores, where he carried out functional training for veterinary treatments and care of these animals. He also worked as an aquarist at Bioparc Valencia, specializing in the care and management of fish, amphibians and reptiles. In 2021 he completed his studies at the CIM training center as a veterinary technical assistant.

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Alba Mocholí

He completed the degree of Veterinary Technical Assistant at I-VET in 2021, doing internships in different veterinary clinics and at the Veterinari Torrent Hospital. He worked for a year in a clinic with dogs, cats and exotics where he specialized in laboratory, ICU and hospitalization. He expanded his training during this period in ethology and nutrition. He finally decided to focus his professional career towards the world of exotic animals, working at Clínica Nido since his greatest passion is reptiles and birds. She is the companion of Hedwig the Pyrrhura the pogona Bellatrix as well as a family of gerbils and another of geckos.
